Spaich espaich@hst.aau.dk SMI®Department of Health Science and Technology (Aalborg University,Denmark) PhD position available: We are looking for a PhD student that will become a member of the Integrative Neuroscience Research Interest Group, at SMI, Department of Health Science and Technology, Aalborg University. The applicant should investigate the use of robotics in the rehabilitation of human sensory and/or motor functions, which may include research within robotic-induced neuroplasticity. Research will be based on studies involving both healthy people and individuals with sensory and/or motor disabilities. The successful candidate for the PhD-stipend holds a master degree in biomedical engineering, neuroscience, mechatronics, robotics or equivalent with the prospect of pursuing studies on robotic based rehabilitation and possibly the related neuroplasticity. The focus of the Ph.D. work may be within design, modification, implementation, and evaluation of a robotic rehabilitative device or a rehabilitation concept, and may include recording and processing of biological signals that may be applied as feedback in the robotic system and/or to assess neuroplasticity. A high proficiency in oral and written English is required. Good dissemination skills are important. |
